Summary

  • Adds the manage-third-party-services skill: search the provider catalog, pick the numeric provider id, read components, create, get, update, delete, with notes on the plan limit and on pause being refused.
  • Lists the eight new third-party tools in the AGENTS.md and README.md tool tables and in llms.txt, and adds them to the paginated-tools note in the Cursor rule.
  • Documents that get-user now reports the third-party service count and limit, which are independent of the monitor count and limit.
  • Regenerates .well-known/agent-skills/index.json (24 to 25 skills).

Tool count

Counted the documented tools in the AGENTS.md and README.md tables: 32 in each. Adding eight gives 40, updated everywhere the total appears (AGENTS.md, README.md twice, plus the README skill count 24 to 25).

Merge timing

These tools ship with a server release. Merge this PR only after they are live in production, otherwise the docs describe tools clients cannot call yet.

Test plan

  • node scripts/generate-agent-skills-index.mjs --check exits 0 after regenerating
  • Tool names, fields, enums and error behaviour checked against the tool implementations
  • No em or en dashes in added text

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added support for discovering third-party service providers, selecting components, and tracking services.
    • Tracked services can be viewed, updated, and deleted, with access to provider incidents and activity logs. They are managed separately from monitors and do not appear in the monitor list.
  • Documentation
    • Added guidance for managing tracked services, including service limits, permissions, and confirmation steps for deletion.
    • Updated setup information to reflect the expanded tool catalog and new third-party service tools.

Give service-specific recovery for monitor_limit_exceeded.

When create-third-party-service reaches its separate allowance, deleting an ordinary monitor will not free a third-party-service slot. This error row still tells agents to delete monitors. Specify that this case requires deleting a tracked third-party service or upgrading the plan. Apply the same distinction to the limit guidance in rules/uptimerobot.mdc and README.md.

Use service discovery for third-party monitor IDs.

When an agent references a tracked service by monitor ID, this rule requires list-monitors to confirm it. The new skill says list-monitors does not return tracked services. Direct agents to use list-third-party-services or get-third-party-service for those IDs. Update the matching ID-discovery convention in AGENTS.md.

Distinguish third-party-service limits from monitor limits.

When create-third-party-service returns -28001 / monitor_limit_exceeded, this guidance can tell the user to delete ordinary monitors. Ordinary monitors do not reduce the separate third-party-service allowance, so the creation remains blocked. Apply the resource-specific recovery in all three shared guidance locations.

Qualify the global ID-discovery rule for third-party services.

list-monitors does not return third-party services, and provider IDs must come from search-third-party-providers. This rule must include the third-party discovery flow or be scoped to regular monitors and integrations.

Update the ID-discovery rule to distinguish regular monitors and integrations
from third-party services: keep `list-monitors` or `list-integrations` as the
discovery step for their respective IDs, and require
`search-third-party-providers` to discover provider IDs before using third-party
write tools.

Branch plan-limit recovery for third-party services.

The generic error guidance applies to create-third-party-service, but deleting an ordinary monitor does not free dependencyMonitorLimit. A user can follow this advice, lose an ordinary monitor, and still receive the same create failure. Add a third-party-service branch while preserving the existing recovery for ordinary monitors.

Suggested fix
-| 7 | `plan`, `subscription`, `limit exceeded`, `monitor interval` — e.g. `You can not use this monitor interval. Use higher interval.`, `not allowed to use some settings with your current plan`, `requires a plan with the "<feature>" feature enabled`, `not included in your subscription`, `Monitor creation limit exceeded` | Plan limit: interval, monitor count, monitor type, region, or a plan feature | Don't retry. Explain the limit; suggest a longer interval, another type, deleting monitors, or upgrading. Paused monitors still count toward the monitor limit. |

Branch failed-write recovery for third-party services.

The shared guidance applies to create-third-party-service and update-third-party-service, but its recovery calls are monitor-only. A failed update must use get-third-party-service, and a failed create must use list-third-party-services; otherwise the agent cannot determine whether the write landed.

Suggested fix
A failed write may still have landed. Check before you resend:

+Third-party service writes use different recovery calls. For a failed `update-third-party-service`, call `get-third-party-service`. For a failed `create-third-party-service`, call `list-third-party-services` and compare the provider and selected components. The monitor-specific steps below apply only to ordinary monitors.
+
 - **Update or status change** — you already have the monitor `id`. Read it with `get-monitor-details` and compare the fields you changed.
