Rebased onto Rust 1.99.1.
rust9x-1.99.0-v2
Fix debug builds: fix debug_assert! failure on pre-XP on startup (AddVectoredExceptionHandler doesn't exist there, and the stub impl triggered the assertion)

Rebased onto stable Rust 1.99.0.
rust9x-1.99-beta-v5

rust9x-1.99-beta-v2
- Rebased onto updated upstream 1.99.0-beta.3.
- Tweaked the sample bootstrap files to skip building
cargo, and to buildcargo-clippyandcargo-fmt, to make the self-built toolchain easier to use. This does not affect CI-built toolchains. - Update generic thread parker code based on the pthread parker.
rust9x-1.99-beta-v1
Rebased onto Rust 1.99.0-beta and squashed/cleaned up the changeset.
rust9x-1.98-beta-v5
- Fixed
Mutex::try_lock()being broken on Windows 95 (#72) (due to 86Box which allowed writes to0x00000010to go through without page fault, hiding the issue. already fixed! :)) - Added
i486-rust9x-windows-msvctarget #70. This will most likely be the lowest supported target. 386 would need full atomic emulation and various LLVM fixes.- Note that this target will not be provided in the CI build as it is a niche within the niche :) You should be able to use the cargo
build-stdfeature to use it, though, even with the precompiled toolchain.

- Fixed build requirements that happened to work on both my system and CI, but still weren't correct 😅 Thanks @eltrevii (#71)

rust9x-1.98-beta-v4
No changes, just enabled the CI run for precompiled distributions for x64 Linux and Windows (rust9x msvc targets only, for now).
See the docs for setup instructions.
