Description
Routine kvm screenshot verification + reappliable config
Parent epic: #1081 (basement cluster program). Project home: planning/roadmaps/basement-cluster.md.
Build the standing check Drew asked for: a system that knows every device's KVM IP, reaches it on a schedule, screenshots and verifies every audited setting against the golden baseline, reports drift, and emits a config that can be reapplied. Start with the core machines; design so the full fleet joins by adding an address.
Acceptance: the check runs end-to-end against the core fleet and files its report; a deliberate setting change on one machine is caught as drift in a test run.

user/escalated+status/blocked(on-site collection); (3) machines at baseline to verify against — task(cluster): bring core machines to the golden baseline #1101 is OPEN and escalated for on-site work. Roadmap at HEAD still lists the firmware/BIOS/BMC audit epic (epic(cluster): firmware / BIOS / BMC audit & standardization #1081) as planned. Building the checker now would mean inventing the baseline format and the KVM access method (hardware/API not named in the issue) — that design choice belongs with task(cluster): define the golden firmware/settings baseline #1100's baseline definition.developing-today commentedon Nov 3, 2026

state: reviewed (coverage loop-back)
Coverage pass 2026-11-03, loop-back review: this issue was re-reviewed (drift / overlap / already-handled / stale / blockers / ordering) so every open issue in the four repos is reviewed and in the system. Verdict: still live; in the system as task 2378 (triage, blocked, priority 30) in repo-health-code-pilot. Labels audited and synced. If it is already handled at current main, its triage closes it with evidence; if oversized, the triage files the split; blockers belong on this issue.
