Description
Bring core machines to the golden baseline
Parent epic: #1081 (basement cluster program). Project home: planning/roadmaps/basement-cluster.md.
Machine by machine: apply firmware updates and set every setting to the golden baseline (task 2.2); screenshot each screen as proof; record any machine that cannot reach baseline and why.
Acceptance: verification matrix shows core machines identical or exception-listed; screenshots filed in hardware-doc.
Physical work notes
- Location: basement / server room, Osseo WI.
- Tools/parts: as listed in the task; note anything missing on this issue before starting.
- Safety: machines unplugged before drive or cable work; circuits are electrician-only work (epic 3).
- Verification: attach a photo of the finished state (and SMART/KVM output where relevant) to this issue before closing.

user/escalated+status/blocked, and task(cluster): define the golden firmware/settings baseline #1100 (define the golden firmware/settings baseline, task 2.2) is still OPEN/untriaged, so the baseline to apply is not yet defined in the repo. Roadmap at HEAD lists the firmware/BIOS/BMC audit (epic(cluster): firmware / BIOS / BMC audit & standardization #1081) as planned.user/escalated+status/blocked. No code fix; no small_fix packet appropriate.planning/roadmaps/basement-cluster.mddezren39 commentedon Oct 29, 2026
BOARD CLEARING (2026-10-29): Drew confirmed on 2026-10-29 that the on-site basement hardware session is HIS task — ownership claimed, no decision outstanding for the fleet. Removed from the needs-Drew board (user/escalated dropped). The issue stays open and blocked on the physical session itself; dependents stay parked behind it.

state: reviewed (coverage loop-back)
Coverage pass 2026-11-03, loop-back review: this issue was re-reviewed (drift / overlap / already-handled / stale / blockers / ordering) so every open issue in the four repos is reviewed and in the system. Verdict: still live; in the system as task 2376 (triage, blocked, priority 30) in repo-health-code-pilot. Labels audited and synced. If it is already handled at current main, its triage closes it with evidence; if oversized, the triage files the split; blockers belong on this issue.
