Running a Python application in a workspace writes __pycache__ directories next to the source, so they showed up as untracked in Git status for projects that don't ignore them. This adds a workspace.ignore list with __pycache__/. The pattern goes to the checkout's local .git/info/exclude, so the repository itself doesn't change. Django, Flask and FastAPI inherit it. Dependencies already live in .wodby-workspace, which the image excludes itself.

Validation

  • Validated with the platform's service import rules for the full workspace catalog, including inheritance.

Merge order

The Wodby platform now accepts workspace.ignore in service manifests, so this can merge.
