Complete frictionless DevEx CLI MVP and merge existing PR #5170

Open

Description

@kwakayama

Objective

Finish #5161 including fresh exact-head review, all required checks and local API/Studio-origin correctness. Preserve scaffold/pull/clone, conditional login, project/environment selection, inference/events and direct run links.

Acceptance

  • PR merged without gate bypass; latest packaged artifact proves entry paths locally.
  • Focused tests and relevant contract checks pass.
  • Fresh final-head review and required CI pass before merge; never bypass gates.

Delivery

Target 30–60 minute implementation/local-verification slices; split any slice exceeding two hours. Track external wait separately. Reuse existing auth, credentials, storage and routes; defer unrelated renaming.

Specification: runtime-prd/index.html in the current delivery workspace; parent tracker will link cross-repo dependencies.

    Triage Notes

Normalized summary: This is a delivery-tracking issue, not a bug or feature request. The outcome is to merge PR #5161 ("Connect local development runs to Veryfront Cloud") through the normal gates.

    What we've established so far:

    • PR Connect local development runs to Veryfront Cloud #5161 is open and still a draft. Its merge state is blocked. The head SHA at triage time is d37a742. It has 18 commits and 57 changed files, and it targets main.
    • The PR description lists companion PRs veryfront/veryfront-api#6576 and veryfront/veryfront-studio#7593. It states that exact-head CI and independent review are still required.
    • The PR description says staging proof and scaffold dependency alignment follow deployment. It also says the local registry trial does not prove public npm default distribution.
    • The only requested reviewer is kojiwakayama.
    • Per the repository merge policy, a review attests to one exact head SHA. Any new push to the PR head needs a fresh review.
    • I applied the enhancement label. I did not apply needs-human-input: no information is missing from the author. The remaining steps need maintainer action.

Handoff state: No Agent Brief was written. The work is already implemented in PR #5161. What remains is review, CI, and merge, which are maintainer-owned gates. The acceptance items in this issue are not independently scoped implementation work.

    Suggested sequence for the maintainer:

    • Complete the remaining feedback batch, then mark the PR ready.
    • Run the narrow affected checks, for example deno task test:file <path> for the CLI, auth, pull/clone, worker and inference tests, plus deno fmt --check, deno task lint:ci and deno task typecheck.
    • Request the review on the final head SHA. Ensure all review threads are resolved and the PR checks pass before queueing.
    • Do not push to the branch while it is queued.

Open questions for the author (@kwakayama), only if the scope is meant to change:

    • Does the "local API/Studio-origin correctness" acceptance item need its own regression test beyond the tests already listed in the PR description? If it does, which test file covers it?
    • Must the merge wait for veryfront-api#6576 and veryfront-studio#7593 to land first, or can the code PR merge independently?

Proposed title (optional): "Merge PR #5161: connect local development runs to Veryfront Cloud".
