refactor(minibf): blocks - #1354
Conversation
mapping.rs becomes a folder module; the block builder is its first submodule.
hacks.rs becomes a folder module. The three per-network copies of the synthetic genesis block collapse into one function driven by a per-network table.
Handlers move into latest, by_hash_or_number, by_slot, txs and addresses with their tests. Shared parsing, block loading, tip lookup, model building and tx paging live in mod.rs.
next, previous, latest/txs, latest/txs/cbor, txs/cbor and epoch/slot get their own files. Shared test helpers for the block lists move into mod.rs.

Sound refactor. The split is faithful and I would approve it after the /blocks/latest fix.
I diffed the old routes/blocks.rs, mapping.rs and hacks.rs against all 17 new files. The handler bodies for previous, next, addresses, txs, txs_cbor and by_epoch_slot, plus BlockModelBuilder, are faithful copies. Status codes match everywhere: 404 on a missing block, 503 on an empty archive, 400 on a bad id. The genesis hack applies in exactly the same five handlers as before. Collapsing the three per-network genesis copies into genesis_for_domain is correct — hashes, times and next_block values all match the originals.
I found nothing wrong in the pagination, ordering, genesis-in-range or touched-address logic.
Severity legend: 🔴 blocking · 🟡 should fix · 🟢 nice to have
- /blocks/latest reads the tip once again; single_block_content takes the tip
- one genesis table: the genesis tx hack reads it from genesis_block.rs
- tests for /blocks/slot/{slot}

🟡 Minor · Treat Either::Right(0) as synthetic genesis.
crates/minibf/src/routes/blocks/next.rs:32-36
🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winTreat
Either::Right(0)as synthetic genesis. The single-block route accepts numeric0as synthetic genesis when the archive lookup returnsNOT_FOUND. The next route recognizes only the genesis hash, so/blocks/0/nextperformsblock_by_number(0). When real blocks start at number1, this lookup returnsNOT_FOUNDinstead of the blocks after genesis.
