Batch Edit does not populate Agent Type with custom pick list items #8687
Describe the bug
When Batch edit creates a data from a query, it uses the default pick list items to populate agentType instead of the pick list items chosen by the user.
Consequently,
If a user assigns a custom title to a pick list item with an integer value in the range of 0-3, Batch Edit will populate the field with the caption associated with that integer value in the default pick list (Organization(0), Person(1), Other(2), and Group(3)). For example, if the user uses a pick list item with the title Test and the value 0, Batch Edit will populate the field with Organization.
If a user uses a pick list item with an integer value outside of the range of 0-3, Batch Edit will not populate the field at all.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Go to the Schema Config
Select Agent as the base table
Create a pick list for agentType or edit the existing one
Create a pick list item with a custom title and an integer value between 0 and 3
Create an Agent that uses your new pick list item for agentType
Query for the Agent record you created
Save the record and click Batch Edit
See that agentType is populated with a title from the default pick list instead of the one you defined
OR
Go to the Schema Config
Select Agent as the base table
Create a pick list for agentType or edit the existing one
Create a pick list item that uses an integer greater than 3
Create an Agent that uses your new pick list item for agentType
Query for the Agent record you created
Save the record and click Batch Edit
See that agentType is not populated
Expected behavior
Batch edit should populate the field with the title defined by the user.
Screenshots
For this record, I used a pick list item with the title Test and a value of 4:
The AgentType pick list is a system pick list that is not assigned to the agentType field in schema config or in the form def by default. Since the pick list isn't found under System options, adding custom agentType values requires creating the entire pick list from scratch. It can then be assigned in schema config, but must at least be assigned in the form def to work-- simply assigning a custom pick list in schema config is overridden by the invisible system pick list!
see no default/system agentType picklist
custom made one:
notably, in my instance, query builder returned only the value for the item in results, not the title!
Batch edit had the same behavior as described where the cell is blank though.
