Why does this test need to be ignored for LLVM? It doesn't test any cg_clif specific things.

I added the skip because test_llvm was failing when I opened the PR.Unlike aot.powi_libcall_signature,it is just a runpass for simd_shuffle with a [u32; N] index which LLVM should handle fine.
will undo.

If LLVM doesn't accept this, how does pathfinder use it then?

I mixed up 2 diff things. #1583 is cg_clif only. pathfinder passes [u32; N] to simd_shuffle, Cranelift rejected that during lowering (arm64/zed). This PR fixes cg_clif. It does not change LLVM.
Stock rustc + LLVM (rust#130268) wants a SIMD u32 vector index, not a plain array, so our example fails in test_llvm before cg_clif runs. pathfinder on normal rustc usually uses Simd<u32, N> or a newer crate and the #1583 report is pathfinder with cg_clif.
test_llvm failed and I added a workflow sed skip, wrongly thinking LLVM could not run the test. So,now example stays in the main cg_clif tests, the harness skips it only for --use-backend llvm, where rustc rejects [u32; N] by design. lemme know if i interpreted something wrong.

I still don't get it. Why does pathfinder work with the LLVM backend, yet the example/simd-shuffle-array-index.rs test that supposedly does the same as pathfinder doesn't work with LLVM?
Fixes #1583
pathfinder_simd passes
[u32; N]array literals tosimd_shuffleinstead of a SIMD u32 vector. Accept both forms when lowering the intrinsic.Test plan:
