Describe the bug

After upgrading from 26.1.11 to 26.7 on my APU2 hardware it ends up in a bootloop unable to finish the update. A immediate reboot occurs right after the "update in progress" banner shows up on the console. I was able to get it running again by selecting the old kernel in boot manager (option 6). After that it tries the update, finds the wrong kernel but proceeds with all following steps leading to a kind a working state. If I then try to boot the new kernel it goes into the bootloop again:

>>> Invoking early script 'watchdogd'
>>> Invoking early script 'upgrade'
>>> Invoking early script 'configd'
Starting configd.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Update to 26.7 on APU2 hardware
