zMQTT is a pure-asyncio Python MQTT client library that aims to provide a balance between low-level protocol access and high-level abstractions. It has zero runtime dependencies, is fully typed, and is tested against four popular MQTT brokers. It is also used as the MQTT transport layer in FastStream.
