## Dashboard header

The dashboard header displays the Aspire logo, the application name, and—on pages with a header title such as **Structured logs**—the current page title. Hovering over the logo, the application name, or the page title applies a brief brightness highlight to match the hover treatment used on the Aspire website, without changing the underlying colors. The highlight uses 110% brightness in the light theme and 90% brightness in the dark theme, resets when you move the pointer away, and also works in the mobile layout.

## Dashboard authentication

When you run an Aspire AppHost, the orchestrator starts up all the app's dependent resources and then opens a browser window to the dashboard. The Aspire dashboard requires token-based authentication for its users because it displays environment variables and other sensitive information.
