## Remote Hub client lifecycle

Use `ocx connect <url> --pairing-code-stdin`, `ocx connect status`, `ocx sync`, and `ocx connect rotate --pairing-code-stdin`. `ocx disconnect` restores local state offline and does not revoke the hub key. While connected only, `ocx connect revoke --admin-token-stdin` revokes the persisted `apiKeyId`; after disconnect use the hub's **Integrations → API Keys** page. Synchronize the localized lifecycle pages.

Add --catalog-timeout <seconds> and the five-second inactivity-timeout behavior to docs-site/src/content/docs/{ja,ko,ru,zh-cn}/reference/cli/lifecycle.md. These pages currently omit the option, so localized users cannot discover the supported timeout override.

P2 Badge Cancel catalog bodies on early validation failures

When /v1/catalog returns headers for a redirect or non-2xx response—or a successful response with an oversized declared Content-Length—this header-only mode clears the fetch deadline, but the subsequent error branches throw without cancelling response.body. With a Bun server returning a streaming 503, downloadClientCatalog(..., { timeoutMs: 50 }) rejected while server.pendingRequests remained 1 past the deadline; the previous total-request signal closed it. Repeated dashboard syncs against a broken or hostile hub can therefore leak live requests in the long-running client listener. Cancel the body on every early error exit, or otherwise retain body-lifetime cancellation while keeping the separate inactivity timer.

Bun fetch Response body cancel unconsumed response body connection resource cleanup

💡 Result:

In Bun, handling unconsumed fetch response bodies and managing their associated connection resources is a critical area that has undergone significant optimization and fixes. By default, simply discarding a Response object without consuming its body or explicitly canceling it can lead to memory leaks and connection resource retention [1][2]. Bun's architecture uses reference counting for these resources; if a response body is not consumed, the underlying connection may be held open for potential reuse or because the system is waiting for the body to be drained [3][4]. Key practices for managing response body cleanup in Bun: 1. Explicit Cancellation: To immediately stop receiving data and release connection resources, you should call response.body.cancel() or use a reader to call reader.cancel() [5][6]. This signals the underlying task to abort the HTTP connection, which ensures the server is notified of the disconnection and prevents the connection from being pooled in an invalid state [5][7][6]. 2. Consumption: If you do not need the data, consuming the body is the safest way to ensure proper cleanup [2]. Using await response.text() or await response.arrayBuffer() will drain the response, allowing Bun to reuse the connection via HTTP keep-alive [3][4][8]. If you want to perform this without blocking your main execution flow, you can initiate the consumption asynchronously (e.g., void response.arrayBuffer().catch(() => {})) [2]. 3. Recent Architectural Improvements: Bun has introduced several mechanisms to automate this process and prevent leaks: - Automated Abort: When a stream is cancelled, Bun now correctly triggers an abort of the underlying HTTP connection [7][6]. - GC Integration: Recent updates have improved how unobserved or "untouched" bodies are handled, including pausing transport rather than buffering indefinitely, and aborting bodies when the Response object is garbage collected [3][4]. - Fixes for Memory Leaks: Historical issues where Strong GC references to response streams prevented cleanup after cancellation have been addressed [1][9]. If you are encountering memory growth (RSS increases) when performing many fetch requests, ensure you are either actively consuming the body or explicitly canceling the response stream [10][2]. Simply relying on garbage collection to clean up unconsumed bodies can be unreliable in high-throughput scenarios [2].

Cancel catalog error response bodies after the header deadline is cleared.

At src/client/hub-client.ts:439, the header-only timeout ends when fetchBounded receives headers. The 304 and non-OK branches at lines 440–445 throw without consuming or cancelling response.body. In Bun, an unconsumed body can retain the underlying connection. Cancel response.body before each post-header failure, and add a regression test with a non-terminating error body.
