Summary

Test plan

  • CI + Security green on this PR
  • Merge with a merge commit (keep develop an ancestor of main)
  • Annotated tag v1.1.1 on main after merge (GoReleaser / GHCR)

hrodrig and others added 12 commits August 16, 2026 22:30
Clear govulncheck stdlib findings fixed in Go 1.26.6
(net/url, crypto/tls, net/http, encoding/xml, encoding/asn1).
Sync Dockerfile, README badge, SPEC, AGENTS, CHANGELOG.

Address GO-2026-5942 so image Grype no longer fails on high. MVS also
moves golang.org/x/sys to v0.46.0 and golang.org/x/term to v0.44.0.
security(go): bump toolchain to 1.26.6
security(deps): bump golang.org/x/net to v0.56.0
Schedule contract repair (latch wiring, SPEC, Go 1.26.6) then
hygiene (Dependabot, KnownFields, timeouts, packaging docs).

Stop committing to develop/main. Version cuts stay a solo chore/release
PR. Ship with develop→main then an annotated tag on main.
The solo chore/release PR must regenerate demo.gif, update pgwd.1 .TH,
and run port-freebsd-sync / port-openbsd-sync. Port submissions wait
for the published GitHub tag.
port-*-sync stays in the VERSION PR. Official ports-tree filings are
a personal follow-up, not a release step.
docs(roadmap): add plan-1.1.1 and plan-1.2.x bands
chore(git): require topic PRs into develop
Ship the Go 1.26.6 and x/net v0.56.0 security patch as a tagged
release so published binaries and GHCR match develop.
