Documentation updates for external agents and MCP hosts.

Changes

happier-as-mcp-server.mdx

Add Advanced: Running a second account side-by-side section:

  • Document HAPPIER_HOME_DIR environment variable for isolating accounts/relays
  • Show MCP host configuration example with alternate home directory
  • State it's advanced, not default workflow

agent-setup.mdx

Add agent-safe auth handoff guidance:

  • When an agent is relaying setup for someone else's computer, give them the happier auth login command to run themselves
  • Don't show the one-time approval link in the agent's transcript

Why

  • External MCP agents asked how to run multiple Happier accounts simultaneously
  • Setup agents sometimes showed auth links in transcripts when helping with remote setup

…uth handoff

- Add HAPPIER_HOME_DIR documentation in happier-as-mcp-server.mdx for running
multiple accounts side-by-side via MCP (advanced use case)
- Add agent-safe auth handoff note to agent-setup.mdx: agents relaying setup
should give the command to run, not show the one-time link

[Low impact] The PR’s reach is limited to guidance in two published docs pages.

Add the Windows sign-in example before merging to satisfy the repository's platform requirement.

Findings

  1. P2 Windows sign-in example is missing ▶

Summary

Documents separate MCP accounts and a safer sign-in handoff.

  • MCP hosts can use a separate CLI home for another Happier account.
  • Remote setup agents give the person the sign-in command to run.

Review used source inspection. No build, tests, or live sign-in were run.

P2 Windows sign-in example is missing

The new recipe uses HAPPIER_HOME_DIR=... happier auth login, which PowerShell cannot run. Windows readers cannot authenticate the alternate home as shown. The repository requires Windows, Linux, and macOS support and prohibits POSIX-only shell assumptions. Add a PowerShell example and tell readers to use the same absolute directory in their MCP configuration. This repository requirement must be satisfied before merging.
