Addressed in 2.17.0: dependencies were modernized (notably gl 8.1.6), which supports Python 3.12+ and provides prebuilt binaries for current Node — so neither Visual Studio nor a specific Python version should be needed for a normal install anymore. npm publish is pending; until then: npm install gpujs/gpu.js#2.17.0. Please reopen if the new release still fails on your setup.
