A failed package fails the whole batch, so skip processing (and downloading) the remaining payloads once one fails.

3204-3240: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winExercise the package-download failure path.
GetTeamsWithInstallerByHashreturns"boom"before the closure reachesretryDownload. The assertion therefore covers only an installer lookup failure. It does not detect later package downloads after the first package download fails.Return
nil, nilfrom the lookup mock. Use anhttptestserver that returns HTTP 500 for all three package URLs. Count requests per path and assert that only the first path receives requests. SetAlwaysDownload: trueto bypass conditional lookup.Suggested fix

I think this should return the error:
if err := gctx.Err(); err != nil {
return err
}

Updated in 52f74a7 to return the context error as suggested. TestBatchSetSoftwareInstallersStopsAfterFirstFailure passes: the first download fails, later packages are not requested, and the batch reports failure.

Related issue: Resolves #50153
When one package in a batch software upload fails, the whole batch fails, but
softwareBatchUploadkept processing and downloading every remaining package. The errgroup is now created witherrgroup.WithContext, and each payload goroutine returns early once the context is cancelled. Because the group limit is 1 and errgroup cancels the context before releasing the slot, no payload after a failure is processed.Checklist for submitter

Timeouts are implemented and retries are limited to avoid infinite loops
Testing
TestBatchSetSoftwareInstallersStopsAfterFirstFailuresends three payloads where the first fails, and asserts only one is processed. It fails onmain(3 processed) and passes with this change.AI
