Before: the screen lock (i3lock, started by xss-lock) filled the screen with dark grey #1c1c1c.

After: the lock screen is pure black #000000, matching the desktop background and the LightDM greeter, which were already black.

How: changed the --color argument to i3lock in the i3 config template. IBM-managed machines use xscreensaver instead, and its appearance isn't managed by this repository, so it is unchanged.

The lock screen used #1c1c1c (dark grey); the desktop background and the
LightDM greeter are already #000000, so match them.

CI is red here for reasons that are already red on master (for example run 37957357213 on a285dea), not because of this one-line i3 config change:

  • Lint: ansible-lint v26 flags roles/desktop/tasks/i3.yml:47 (the "Report detected resolution" debug msg, 165 > 160 characters). This PR doesn't touch that file. Proposed patch: split the message with a folded scalar, e.g. msg: >- followed by the resolution=... and scale=... font_size=... parts on two lines.
  • desktop / headless playbooks: the download of https://github.com/dolph/connectivity/releases/download/v1.7.12/connectivity-linux-amd64 returns 404, so every playbook job fails on master too.

No open PR fixes either yet, so I haven't ported anything into this one. Both failures are deterministic, so a re-run won't change them.
