Add the Code Comment quote template (quote-code-comment) #222

Closed

Description

@anurag629

Part of #5. For developer quotes shared like a snippet.

Idea
The quote is shown as a block comment in an editor-style panel: /** on the first line, each line of the quote after *, the author as * @author Linus Torvalds, and */ at the end, all in JetBrains Mono. The comment markers use a muted color, the quote the text color, and @author the accent color. A small file name tab sits above the panel ("quote.ts").

Template details

  • File: src/templates/quote/code-comment.ts, id quote-code-comment
  • Fields: quote (textarea), commonFields.author, fileName (text, default "quote.ts"), commonFields.bgColor, commonFields.accentColor, commonFields.textColor

Where to look

  • Closest reference: src/templates/github/code-window.ts (an editor panel in JetBrains Mono), src/templates/quote/minimal-dash.ts (quote and author fields)

Acceptance criteria

  • Long quotes wrap inside the comment, each wrapped line starts with *, and very long quotes are truncated
  • An empty author hides the @author line, and an empty fileName hides the tab
  • Re-exported in src/templates/quote/index.ts and registered in the Quote block of src/templates/registry.ts
  • Meets the shared template checklist in Add new card-style OG image templates #5

One template per contributor at a time, so more people get a chance.

    @Aaqibhafeezkhan

    I'd like to work on this issue. I'll implement the quote-code-comment template with the requested comment formatting, author attribution, and editor-style typography, following the project's existing template conventions.

    Thanks @Aaqibhafeezkhan! It's one issue at a time until you have three merged PRs here, and you've got codercops/toolbelt#310 now. Ask again here once that's merged, if this one is still open.

    Thanks @srujankaleru2007! You've got #223 now, and it's one template at a time, so I'll leave this one open. Ask again here once #223 is merged, if it's still free.

    Hi, could I take this one? I'm @Saifjafri212213. My Call for Speakers template (#220) is merged, so I have no other open ogcops template. I'll follow the template checklist (works on light and dark backgrounds, test file, screenshots in the PR).
