Holding this one. 1.x changes how MessageParam is typed, so packages/core/src/providers/claude.ts no longer type-checks (line 143, the message list built from normalizeTurns). The lockfile also wasn't updated, which is why CI fails at install. I'll do the upgrade by hand with a live check against Claude, and close this when that lands.

Done by hand in #357, with the lockfile, the provider fix for API version 2026-10-21 (temperature is no longer sent to Claude) and re-recorded fixtures. I'll close this when #357 merges.
