Hi, I'm Cristian 👋

DevOps / SRE engineer since 2017, with 10+ years in tech overall.

AWS Terraform Kubernetes Python JavaScript

Certifications: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) · AWS Solutions Architect – Associate

Infrastructure & Backend projects

Hands-on projects, several built as part of the Udacity Cloud DevOps and SRE nanodegrees. They lean toward infrastructure-as-code, observability and backend fundamentals. Each repo documents what it covers and where relevant what it deliberately leaves out.

Cloud & Infrastructure

  • aws-observability-stack: observability stack for EC2 and EKS with modularized Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana and Blackbox Exporter for endpoint probes. Alerting on CPU, memory, network and availability.
  • deployment-roulette: CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions. Canary deployments to EKS and auto-creation of JIRA tickets from pull requests, using AWS OIDC for credentials.
  • udacity-cloudformation-ha-webapp: highly available web app on AWS with CloudFormation. Multi-AZ VPC, NAT gateways, Auto Scaling Group, Application Load Balancer and IAM roles, all defined as code.

Backend

  • trivia-api: REST API in Flask + PostgreSQL with 97% test coverage and full endpoint documentation.
  • fyyur-event-management: Flask app I extended with a conceptual/logical/physical ERD and a SQLAlchemy model with constraints, indexes and data-minimization (GDPR-aligned) design decisions.

Learning full stack with The Odin Project

I'm working through The Odin Project's full stack JavaScript path to understand the software delivery lifecycle end to end, from the developer's side of it. It's genuinely a part I enjoy and these are some of the projects along the way (most have a live demo):

  • library: keeps data and presentation separate. Books live as objects in an array, the page renders from that data. Constructors, prototype methods, crypto.randomUUID(). Responsive. · Live demo
  • tic-tac-toe: built around IIFEs and factory functions for separation of concerns and data integrity. Responsive. · Live demo
  • restaurant-page: webpack and ES modules, with the DOM generated entirely from JavaScript and tabbed navigation. · Live demo
  • etch-a-sketch: browser recreation of the toy. A JS-generated grid (up to 100×100) with opacity build-up and random colors. · Live demo
  • calculator: handles operation state and the awkward edge cases (chained operations, decimal overflow, clearing state). · Live demo
  • admin-dashboard: a CSS Grid layout exercise with nested grids for sidebar, header and content. · Live demo
  • sign-up-form: form input validation with visual feedback using native HTML validation attributes. · Live demo
  • todo-list: in progress. Modular architecture with webpack. More to come as I keep building.
