Before: The language menu inherited white navbar text onto a light popover, while the trigger's hover background could hide its white icon.
After: Use the theme body color for menu text and preserve the branded navbar surface behind the trigger on hover and keyboard focus. Add regression coverage across English/Chinese home and documentation pages in light/dark themes.
Validation boundary
The author reports a strict Hugo build, link checks and eight Playwright cases. This submission has not independently reproduced those browser/build results; CI and published-site validation remain separate.
