Closed

Description

@alamb

Is your feature request related to a problem or challenge? Please describe what you are trying to do.
Using local caches for parquet metadata is increasingly important for data intensive applications

Describe the solution you'd like
I think parquet-rs is a great option for building such applications, and I would like to have an example showing how to do so

Describe alternatives you've considered
Add an example and use it to drive API improvements (e.g. #6002)
