OpenAI raised the default Codex context window for GPT-6.1 Sol to 500k (from 272k) and waived long-context fees for 6.1 Sol usage drawn from a ChatGPT subscription: https://x.com/thsottiaux/status/2109430343346581527

The ChatGPT OAuth (Codex) transform caps eligible models to Codex's budget so subscription usage matches Codex. This keeps that behavior and moves gpt-6.1-sol (and its -fast mode, which shares the underlying model ID) to 500k input / 628k context, preserving the existing 128k output headroom. All other models stay at 400k / 272k.

Users can still override per-model limits in config.

Looks sound. Under a ChatGPT OAuth connection, gpt-6.1-sol and gpt-6.1-sol-fast (matched by the shared modelID) now get 628k context / 500k input. The output limit is kept and every other eligible model still gets 400k/272k. I checked it with the plugin test: it passes with this change and fails on the base openai.ts. Type check is clean. I couldn't test against a real ChatGPT account.

Public API is unchanged: only the default limits for this model on this connection change, and config overrides still apply.
