I keep encountering this error while using OpenCode, which constantly interrupts my work and makes it completely unusable. How can I fix this?

Error message:

Error: UV_UNKNOWN: unknown error, open 'C:\Users\Administrator\.local\share\opencode\storage\part\msg_bc4b7df00001xIqsmHSyKgji1M\prt_bc4b7eccd001jYyk5SCfplgEvv.json'

What I've already tried:

✅ Cleared the entire C:\Users\Administrator\.local\share\opencode\storage directory
✅ Verified that Administrator has full permissions on the directory
✅ Reinstalled OpenCode completely
❌ The error still occurs repeatedly

Environment:

OS: Windows (Administrator account)
OpenCode version: [1.1.13]
Installation method: [npm]

This issue is blocking me from using OpenCode at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

All of these issues relate to corrupted or inaccessible JSON files in the ~/.local/share/opencode/storage/part directory, which aligns with the UV_UNKNOWN error you're experiencing trying to open .json files.

I am having this same issue as well. It will hit for multiple parallel sessions at the same time as well. Not sure what is happening.

I'm having the same issue, and it's happening very frequently—so much so that it’s completely unusable. Reinstalling OpenCode didn’t fix the problem either.

I've been experiencing this issue lately too. Every once in a while, when executing an "opencode run" command, it'll halt the response and return an error like Error: UV_UNKNOWN: unknown error, open 'C:\Users\<my-user>\.local\share\opencode\storage\part\msg_bfbb94786001h24FABp4e5W18X\prt_bfbb95101001v3wgtK9EDRh9oD.json'.

Installed via NPM
