[FEATURE]: Manage recently closed projects on the home sidebar #47569
I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.
Describe the enhancement you want to request
The desktop/web home has a "Recently closed" list (#34926), but it only appears while there are no open projects, shows at most 5 entries and the only thing you can do with an entry is reopen it.
With a few dozen projects closed over time the list becomes hard to use: there is no way to find a specific entry, to sort the list, or to get rid of entries you no longer care about, and the history is invisible as soon as one project is open.
Proposal, kept inside the existing section:
show it under the open projects too, only when there is history
a single "Filter and sort" menu: Recent / Archived / Hidden / All, and Most recent / Oldest / Name A–Z / Z–A
a search field once the list grows past the visible rows, plus "Show all"
a row menu with Reopen, Archive, Hide and Forget (with undo / confirmation), and a selection mode for batch actions
Everything stays local UI state (the same persisted store that already keeps recentlyClosed); nothing on disk is touched. I have a working implementation and can open a PR if the team is open to this.
