Desktop chat logs cannot be recovered after being archived. After moving the project folder, the location on OpenCode cannot be changed, and the address is not updated when the project is reopened. #29823

Closed as not planned

Description

@Demons12341

Describe the bug

Desktop chat logs become unrecoverable after archiving. After moving the entire project folder to a new location, OpenCode still references the old absolute path and cannot update the session/log location. Reopening the project does not refresh the address automatically.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a project at /old/path/project
  2. Use OpenCode desktop, have some chat sessions
  3. Archive or move the project folder to /new/path/project
  4. Reopen the project in OpenCode
  5. Try to access previous chat logs / sessions

Expected behavior

OpenCode should either:

Actual behavior

Sessions are orphaned, logs cannot be recovered. The old absolute path is still used and cannot be changed.
