   Confirming on Desktop 1.17.9 (Windows 11) — and notably not just CLI/dev builds.

   Every session created through the packaged Desktop app gets version = 'local'
   and is therefore hidden from the sidebar after a restart, even though it persists
   fine. No opencode CLI involved here.

   Evidence:

   • All sessions are present in ~/.local/share/opencode/opencode.db (session
     table, messages in message/part) — nothing is lost.
   • SELECT version FROM session → every row is 'local'.
   • The Desktop even keeps per-session state in
     %APPDATA%/ai.opencode.desktop/opencode.workspace.*.dat
     (workspace:model-selection lists each session id), so the app clearly knows
     the sessions exist — only the sidebar list filters them out.
   • Sessions were created via a custom OpenAI-compatible provider in
     opencode.jsonc (Ollama Cloud, direct https://ollama.com/v1).

   So the version filter makes the sidebar appear empty on every restart for normal
   end users of the Desktop build, not only local/dev sessions.
