Question: When will Pull Requests be enabled for external contributors?

Hi!

I noticed a broken link in and fixed in the root documentation.

I have fixed this on my fork and would love to submit a Pull Request for it, as this will be my very first open-source PR! However, I noticed that Pull Requests are currently restricted to repository collaborators.

Could you please let me know when PRs will be enabled for external contributors so I can submit it?

I completely understand your frustration with low-quality Ai PRs!

Just to clarify—I am an aspiring Python learner exploring open-source projects for the first time. While reading CONTRIBUTING.md to learn how to contribute, I clicked on the AI_POLICY.md link and noticed it gave a 404 error because it still points to the master branch instead of main:

I manually spotted this broken link and updated it on my fork (HARSHRAO729/rich). As this will be my very first open-source contribution, it would mean a lot to me to submit a clean PR for this fix. I don't need an entry in CONTRIBUTORS.md or anything else—I just genuinely wanted to fix this link and learn the PR process.

Would it be okay if I open a Pull Request for this single link fix?
