The upstream Slack workspace is gone, so there's currently no place for open discussion that isn't a bug report or PR. The org profile already points people to "join the Discussions", and GOVERNANCE.md names discussions as a venue for decisions and votes, but Discussions don't seem to be enabled yet.
Could we turn on GitHub Discussions?
Org-level Discussions (e.g. with .github as the source repo) would cover both platform and platform-selfhost in one place.
Here are my category suggestions: Platform, Self-hosting, Governance, Q&A and Announcements.
I've prepared a PR on .github that links the profile and issue chooser to Discussions, ready to merge once they're enabled.
