Problem:
This contradicts §8.17 (Object Memory Layout), which correctly states the class/VMT pointer occupies "Offset 0" of the object instance's layout. The VMT itself doesn't have a "first field" in this sense — the confusion is instance-layout vs. VMT-layout, making rule 2c internally inconsistent with the rest of the chapter.
