19-32: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winAssert that the test reaches the empty-batch path.
The seed helper matches the current
create_insert_permutationand medoid draws. However, the test only checks the final graph extent. A future permutation change can make the selected seed stop making the first inserted point the medoid while the test still passes, so the test would no longer cover the empty-batch path. Add an assertion or test hook that proves this path executed.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Fix only still-valid issues, skip the rest with a brief reason, keep changes minimal, and validate. Review comment at @cpp/tests/neighbors/ann_vamana/test_float_uint32_t.cu around lines 19 - 32: Add an assertion or test hook in the test that verifies the empty-batch path actually executes; checking only the final graph extent is insufficient. Use the existing seed selection helper, seed_where_first_insert_is_medoid, to locate the relevant test setup and ensure it detects when permutation changes prevent the first inserted point from being the medoid.

When the first inserted point is the medoid, the first batch has no reverse edges and map_offset launches a kernel with zero blocks, failing the build with cudaErrorInvalidValue. Guard both calls. Signed-off-by: Srijan Keshri <srijankeshri007@gmail.com>

43-43: 📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | 🏗️ Heavy liftIsolate the process-global RNG state.
If
FirstInsertIsMedoidruns before another Vamana test in the same process, that test inherits the global RNG state set bysrand().vamana::builduses that state for both insertion order and medoid selection, so test order can change its behavior. Run this regression in a separate test process or pass a local RNG to the Vamana build.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Fixes #2767. When the first inserted point is the medoid,
total_edgesis 0 and the twomap_offsetcalls in the reverse-edge pass launch zero blocks. They're now skipped in that case.Adds a regression test that seeds
rand()to hit this case. It fails onmainand passes with the fix.
