Research: FROST multi-sig wallets for Cardano #220

Summary

Research FROST (Flexible Round-Optimized Schnorr Threshold) signatures as a potential evolution of the current native script multi-sig approach.

Key questions to answer

• Feasibility: Are there Cardano-compatible FROST libraries available or in development?
• Benefits: How does FROST compare to native scripts? (on-chain size, privacy, signing UX, threshold flexibility)
• Protocol readiness: Does Cardano's current ledger support Schnorr signature verification natively, or would it require a CIP/hard fork?
• Migration path: Can we support both native scripts and FROST side-by-side?
• Security: What are the trust assumptions and key management implications?

Deliverables

• Written summary of FROST vs native script trade-offs
• Proof-of-concept if libraries are available
• Go/no-go recommendation for integration
