Recorder: capture video, image sequences and GIFs from Play Mode #173

Open

Description

@brmassa

Current State

turian-cli screenshot and playmode --out capture single frames. Trailers, bug reports and devlogs need an external screen recorder, which also captures the desktop and runs at the wrong frame rate.

Tasks

  • Capture the game's render output (not the window) at a fixed timestep, independent of real-time performance
  • Outputs: PNG/EXR sequence, animated GIF/WebP, and video through an optional encoder (external ffmpeg first)
  • Studio panel: start/stop, resolution, frame rate, per-camera capture, recording while in Play Mode
  • CLI: turian-cli record <project> --frames N --out clip.mp4 for headless capture

Acceptance Criteria

  • A 10-second clip recorded at 60 fps contains exactly 600 frames even if the game ran slower than real time.
