When there are two conflicting sources for the same material or event, metadata flips between them on each automatic ingestion. This can generate large changelogs.
Describe the solution you'd like
- Store the source a material was last imported from
- By default don't import a material from a source that is not the one it has last been imported from
- Switch the source when better metadata is available from a different source (by some monotonic definition of "better")

This is relevant in the context of exchange in the mTeSS-x project.
Describe alternatives you've considered
When just focusing on exchange using OAI-PMH, there is already a field that stores the source TeSS instance. However, a new field would make this feature also available for other forms of ingestion.
