Brief summary of bug

From @fischer-ncar

Hi All,

There were a couple of unexpected test failures:

  • FAIL ERP_D_Ld9.ne30pg3_t232.I1850Clm60BgcCropCrujraG.derecho_intel.clm-clm60cam6LndTuningMode COMPARE_base_rest
  • FAIL ERP_P256x2_D_Ld5.f19_g17_gris4.I1850Clm50BgcCropG.derecho_intel.clm-glcMEC_increase COMPARE_base_rest

I tried running the ERS version of these tests and they passed.

After reverting the tags in alpha11b, I was able to narrow the issue down to cismwrap_3_00_002.

I'm not sure whether we should make an alpha tag with these two failed tests. Which is why I included Erik. This is the only issues with alpha11b.

@Katetc says to avoid this problem do the following:

"To avoid this, we need to add the line ' history_option = 'never' ' to the user_nl_cism in each of these tests. "

so it looks like this should be added to the test-mods:

    • clm60cam6LndTuningMode
    • glcMEC_increase

And possibly others once, we update CISM in CTSM. We might see other test mods that need it.
