Summary

Re-onboards the CLI repository onto the DeepWorkPlan pack v7.9.0 (herdr-peers v1.1.0 set). Part of the PLAN_021 stage-3 ecosystem dogfood. The product runtime is unchanged: no files under dailybot_cli/ changed.

  • Pack: installed deepworkplan v7.9.0 by tree URL (npx --yes skills add https://github.com/DailybotHQ/deepworkplan-skill/tree/v7.9.0 --skill deepworkplan -y). The release's SHA256SUMS hashes to 96aba583…f06ac2 (matches the expected digest) and all 178/178 listed files verify; the vendored tree is byte-identical to the v7.9.0 tag. The previous tree matched upstream v7.8.1 exactly, so no local adaptations were lost.
  • Addons: ai-diff-reviewer stays v3.3.16 (matches the pack pin); dailybot stays v3.23.18 (one patch above the pack's v3.23.17 floor); agentkit/devcontainer stay v1.0.1; vim stays v1.0.0.
  • herdr-peers v1.1.0: the pack's herdr addon pins it, and the repo follows on the host side — the .dwp/config.json registry (herdr → v1.1.0, pack-scoped addons → v7.9.0) and the dev.sh fallback install hint (tree-URL form). The container is not re-rendered: devcontainer-kit v1.0.1 still bakes herdr-peers v1.0.0, so the container keeps v1.0.0 until dck ships a newer release — stated accurately in the catalog reconciliation; docs/LOCAL_ENVIRONMENT.md's herdr-peers mention is the container embed and stays correct as-is.
  • Lock: skills-lock.json records deepworkplan at v7.9.0 with the installer computedHash.
  • Provenance: AGENTS.md (pack line + DWP standard line) and the skills catalog restamped for 2026-10-25.

Validation

  • ruff check dailybot_cli tests, ruff format --check dailybot_cli tests, mypy dailybot_cli: pass.
  • COLUMNS=240 pytest: 3825 passed.
  • Note: a literal ruff check . also flags 7 pre-existing UP031 findings in scripts/workspace_ports_display.py — untouched by this PR, identical on main, and outside the CI lint scope (code_check.yml lints dailybot_cli tests).
  • DWP short path: delegators.py check --repo . → 9 ok, 0 drift, 0 missing; config.py backfill --repo . → nothing to back-fill; addon_sync.py plan --repo . → pack current, with machine-local herdr (host binary still v1.0.0) and vim pending upgrades — host tools, not repo files.
  • Release: merges auto-release (conventional chore → PATCH, expected 3.27.13 from 3.27.12). No version fields touched.

Install deepworkplan v7.9.0 by tree (release SHA256SUMS 96aba583...
verified, 178/178 files; vendored tree byte-identical to the tag; the
previous tree matched upstream v7.8.1 exactly, so no local adaptations
were lost). ai-diff-reviewer v3.3.16 matches the pack pin and dailybot
v3.23.18 sits one patch above the pack's v3.23.17 floor (both stay).
Move the herdr addon to herdr-peers v1.1.0: the addon registry and the
dev.sh host install hint follow. The container is not re-rendered —
devcontainer-kit v1.0.1 still embeds herdr-peers v1.0.0 (with
coding-agents-kit v1.0.1 and DeepWorkPlan Vim v1.0.0). Move the lock,
addon registry and provenance lines to match. The product runtime is
unchanged.

Summary

Verdict

Clean DeepWorkPlan pack dogfood to v7.9.0. Product runtime is untouched; host-side pins and provenance stay consistent with the vendored tree.

What this PR does

Re-onboards the repo onto DeepWorkPlan v7.9.0 (herdr-peers product pin v1.1.0, ai-diff-reviewer pack pin aligned to v3.3.16). Changes are limited to:

  • Vendored pack under .agents/skills/deepworkplan/ (version stamps + herdr native-debate docs + pin bumps)
  • Host registry .dwp/config.json (pack-scoped addon versions + herdr → v1.1.0)
  • Provenance: AGENTS.md, skills catalog reconciliation (2026-10-25), skills-lock.json
  • dev.sh fallback install hint for missing herdr-peers (tag-pinned tree URL → v1.1.0)

No files under dailybot_cli/ or tests/ change.

Verification performed

  • Lock ↔ tree: skills-lock.json records deepworkplan ref=v7.9.0; all 18 pack SKILL.md frontmatter versions are "7.9.0" (no leftover 7.8.1).
  • Addon pins: pack addon.json for herdr → v1.1.0 / interface 1; ai-diff-reviewer → v3.3.16. Repo-installed ai-diff-reviewer skill and lock already at v3.3.16 — pack docs catch up to the installed skill.
  • Registry: .dwp/config.json bumps in-pack dependency-upgrade / design-system to v7.9.0 and herdr product pin to v1.1.0; agentkit/devcontainer/vim/ai-diff-reviewer/dailybot pins unchanged and match the catalog story (dailybot one patch above pack floor).
  • Install hygiene: herdr install lines remain npx … skills add …/tree/v1.1.0 (tag-pinned). No curl | sh / remote-pipe installer introduced in the diff. herdr install.md still forbids piped installers.
  • Secrets / product surface: no credential material; no dailybot_cli touch; auth resolution and env.json guard untouched.
  • Documented skew: catalog correctly states the container is not re-rendered (dck v1.0.1 still embeds herdr-peers v1.0.0) while host registry + dev.sh hint follow v1.1.0. docs/LOCAL_ENVIRONMENT.md still documents the container embed at v1.0.0 and was correctly left alone. Protocol/interface remains 1 (debates are additive), so mesh ask/reply stays compatible across the temporary host/container binary skew until dck ships a newer bake.

Notes (not findings)

  • Per review overrides, vendored pack internals are reviewed for sync intent only; upstream herdr debate docs are accepted as pack payload.
  • skills-lock.json computedHash change accompanies the deliberate pack bump — not nitted. Independent recomputation of the skills-CLI hash was not run here; the PR claims SHA256SUMS / tree identity with upstream v7.9.0.
  • Host binary still on herdr-peers v1.0.0 is a machine-local pending upgrade (addon_sync), not a repo-file defect.

Release decision

Recommendation: approve

Check status: ✅ passing — strictness block-on-critical, highest severity in effect none: highest severity none ≤ critical threshold.

This line is written by the reviewer runtime after the gate ran and matches the check conclusion and the tracking comment. Any recommendation above is the model's advisory opinion, not the gate.
