Problem
On Weathermap 1.7 with Cacti 1.2.31, link hover previews can have a large empty area beside the graph and a prominent generated node-ID heading. Moving between nearby links is slow, and a popup can intercept the pointer and remain visible over another link.
Reproduction
- Configure a link with a Cacti graph_image.php hover image (for example graph_width=300, graph_height=100).
- Hover over the link, then move across adjacent links and through the popup area.
- Observe the oversized container, transition delay and occasional persistent popup.
Expected behavior
Fit the popup to the graph, preserve its aspect ratio, keep meaningful captions and avoid trapping the pointer. Closing or switching hover targets should be immediate.
A proposed fix has been exercised on my test setup. I will submit a focused draft PR for review. This report concerns sizing and pointer interaction; it does not claim to resolve the separate Firefox issue in #237.
