feat(frontend): Deployments polish in /m: history tools, row menu, Use API first, richer deploy dialogs - #8186
In /m developer mode the Deployments tab was thinner than /w. The history table had no Export CSV and no row selection. It showed the variant as plain text ("verbose v5") and the author without an avatar. The row menu had only "Open details", and Revert was hidden on the live row instead of disabled. The toolbar made Deploy the main button, while /w makes Use API the main one. The deploy dialogs showed plain text where /w shows a version tag, and the revision list had no model (parity findings apps-deploy-01, 02, 03 and 04, and apps-registry-09).
Stacked on #8168 (Use API drawer) and merges #8170 (the deployment drawer), so the diff shrinks as those merge. It also carries a prettier-only line wrap in WorkflowPickerView.tsx from the base branch, which the pre-commit hook required.
Changes
All of this applies only in beta developer mode. Without it the Deployments tab and the deploy dialogs are unchanged.
Toolbar: Export CSV, Deploy (outline), then Use API as the main button with a code icon, in /w's order.
History table:
Row checkboxes, with Export CSV in the selection bar. The toolbar Export CSV exports the selected rows, or every row when none is selected.
The variant shows as a name with a version tag, and Modified by has an avatar.
The CSV makes cells that start with =, +, - or @ inert.
Row menu: Open details, Use API, Open in Playground, Copy ID, then Revert. On the live row Revert is disabled with the reason "Already live in this environment". It is also disabled without deploy permission.
Deploy dialog from the toolbar: the title capitalizes the environment ("Deploy Production"). Each revision shows its version tag, its deployment badges and its model.
Deploy dialog from a revision: the "Current variant" column shows a name with a version tag.
Not done: /w's column settings gear on the history table. Decision 6 left column menus out of /m lists.
Tests
deploymentsTab.render.test.tsx now pins beta developer mode off for the existing cases. Before this, its jotai mock answered "on" without meaning to. New cases cover:
The toolbar order in both modes.
The row menu items, with Revert disabled and its reason on the live row.
The exact CSV content, including the formula guard.
The capitalized deploy dialog title and the model.
The current-variant tag with and without beta developer mode.
Types pass for @agenta/mobile. A browser check against the parity stack showed the toolbar, the row menu and the deploy dialog. I did not click Deploy or Revert there.
What to QA
Beta developer mode on, Registry > Deployments: the toolbar reads Export CSV, Deploy, Use API (dark). Export CSV downloads the visible history.
Select a row: the selection bar offers Export CSV for the selected rows.
The row menu on the live row shows Revert greyed out with "Already live in this environment". On an older row Revert works.
Deploy opens "Deploy Production" (capitalized). Each revision shows its version tag, badges and model.
Regression: with Developer Mode off, the tab and both dialogs look as before.
Beta developer mode adds deployment-history CSV export, author avatars, and row actions for using an API, opening the playground, and copying revision IDs.
Deployment dialogs show variant details and version tags, with clearer revert availability and reasons.
Revision drawers offer deployment and revert actions in beta developer mode.
Bug Fixes
Raw JSON and YAML configuration now appears immediately when opened.
Revision drawers better preserve drafts and selections during navigation and loading.
The pull request adds beta developer-mode tools to the deployment history and dialogs, updates editable revision drawer state and playground cleanup, and changes raw JSON/YAML configuration initialization. It also adds rendering tests for these changes.
Changes: Developer deployment tools
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Open and render deployment dialogs web/mobile/src/features/revisions/DeployRevisionButton.tsx, web/mobile/src/features/variants/DeployRevisionDialog.tsx, web/mobile/src/features/variants/DeployToEnvironmentDialog.tsx
A new button reads revision and variant details from the store and opens the deploy dialog. In beta mode, both deployment dialogs show variant details with revision tags.
Configure deployment history tools web/mobile/src/features/variants/DeploymentHistoryTable.tsx, web/mobile/src/features/variants/DeploymentRowMenu.tsx, web/mobile/src/features/variants/DeploymentsTab.tsx, web/mobile/src/features/variants/deploymentHistoryCsv.ts, web/mobile/src/features/variants/deploymentVariantLabel.ts, web/mobile/tests/unit/deploymentsTab.render.test.tsx
Beta mode adds history-row selection and actions, CSV export, variant details, and toolbar changes. Revert remains visible when developer-mode extras are supplied and is disabled when the row cannot be reverted.
Wire deployment actions into the revision drawer web/mobile/src/features/revisions/EditableRevisionDrawerHost.tsx, web/mobile/src/features/variants/VariantsTab.tsx, web/packages/agenta-playground-ui/src/panels/drawer/DrawerCommitButton.tsx, web/mobile/tests/unit/revisionDrawerGate.render.test.tsx
A revision commit also invalidates the environments query. Beta mode uses the editable drawer with deployment actions; other users retain the read-only drawer. The commit button reads the environments list query.
Editable drawer state
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Retain drawer revision and loaded content web/packages/agenta-playground-ui/src/panels/drawer/EditableRevisionDrawer.tsx, web/packages/agenta-playground-ui/src/panels/drawer/EditableRevisionDrawerBody.tsx, web/packages/agenta-playground-ui/src/panels/drawer/DrawerTitle.tsx, web/mobile/tests/unit/editableRevisionDrawer.render.test.tsx
The drawer tracks the last displayed revision and whether query data has loaded. Unsaved revisions use the titles “New App” or “New Evaluator.” Tests cover strict-mode drafts and unsaved app and evaluator titles.
Defer playground cleanup across remounts web/packages/agenta-playground-ui/src/panels/drawer/useDrawerPlaygroundSession.ts, web/mobile/tests/unit/editableRevisionDrawer.render.test.tsx
Cleanup is deferred and canceled if the drawer remounts. Playground entity IDs are collected from all nodes.
Raw configuration editor initialization
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Initialize JSON and YAML editors on mount web/packages/agenta-entity-ui/src/DrillInView/components/PlaygroundConfigSection.tsx, web/packages/agenta-entity-ui/tests/unit/configSectionRawMount.render.test.tsx
The initial mode comparison triggers serialization on the first JSON or YAML render. Tests verify that server configuration data appears in the editor on mount.
Agenta-AI/agenta#8200: Updates the revision deployment button and editable drawer state introduced in this change.
Agenta-AI/agenta#8003: Adds the deployment history, row menu, and deploy dialogs that this change extends.
Agenta-AI/agenta#8157: Adds the editable revision drawer and its Deployments integration that this change extends.
Merge Risk: Low · previous review 38329
Beta developer-mode users could edit the previous revision while a new one loads, hit stale cleanup across stores, or open the deploy dialog with placeholder version data. These affect narrow flows, so the PR is mergeable with owner awareness.

Dependent tests finished. Post /preview for manual review. Environment absence verified; retained storage requires separate provider accounting.
Post /preview as a new comment to request a one-hour preview. Repeating it while active does not extend the hour.
Preview data is disposable. Expiry is enforced by the next successful cleanup sweep, not an exact timer.
