robothon-grand-challenge

This repository holds the results and contributed works from the Robothon Grand Challenge Series. Details about the event can be found on the competition website: www.robothon-grand-challenge.com.

Robot Teams develop fully automated solutions to the manipulation challenges defined on an electronic, internet-connected task board and their results are remotely assessed by a digital robot judge with a web dashboard. Interested readers can read more about our approach in our IEEE-RAM paper.

Teams apply to receive a task board in the mail to prepare fully automated robot manipulation skills with their own robot platform. Teams follow a trial protocol to earn points and compete for the fastest execution time over a 30-day development period. Qualified teams present their results live to an expert jury over video conference for verification. The scores below reflect each team's progress in the competition. Teams who have completed the full trial protocol with the fastest completion time during the jury-witnessed demonstration are considered the event winners. Completion times are listed in seconds.

NOTE: No Robothon event in 2024, see euROBIN Manipulation Skill Versatility Challenge at IROS 2024 event website

Electronic Task boards were designed and produced for the teams as part of their participation the competition. The design of the task board is made open-source to enable community members to build their own task boards or create new versions for their specific use case. Please send an email to peter@modularmotions.com if you would like a pre-assembled task board for a specific competition year, i.e. TBv2021, TBv2022, TBv2023, TBv2025.
