This seems to be a known issue in VS 2022 17.14.x with GitHub Copilot. ✅ Try the following workarounds:
If the issue persists, report it to GitHub with logs from Hope this helps! |

I’m experiencing repeated failures when using GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio 2022 version 17.14.6. The issue occurs both when generating commit messages and when using Copilot for code suggestions or fixes.
Error Messages:
During commit message generation:
[CopilotClient] Unknown exception: Could not parse ov
System.Exception: Error occurred while invoking intent 'None'.
During code suggestions:
fatal: unrecognized sequence when parsing git diff output
